How Much Does a Luxury Kitchen Renovation Cost in Miami?
A high-end kitchen is the single biggest design decision in most Miami homes — and the most common question we hear is simply, what should this cost? The honest answer is a range, because a kitchen is really a dozen trades stacked into one room. Below is how we think about budgets at INTUS, what drives the number up or down, and where it makes sense to invest.
The short answer
For a genuinely luxury kitchen renovation in Miami in 2026 — custom cabinetry, natural stone, premium appliances and proper millwork — most projects land between $75,000 and $250,000+. A focused refresh of a smaller condo kitchen can come in lower; a large, fully custom kitchen with imported stone and integrated appliances can go well beyond it. The variation is real, so the useful exercise is understanding the drivers.
Where the budget actually goes
Cabinetry & millwork (30–40%)
This is usually the largest line. Stock cabinets are inexpensive but rarely fit a luxury vision; custom cabinetry and architectural millwork — tall fronts, integrated handles, fluted or slatted detailing, hidden pantries — are what make a kitchen feel bespoke. Material (oak, walnut, lacquered MDF) and hardware drive the cost.
Countertops & stone (10–20%)
Quartz is durable and predictable; natural quartzite and marble are show-stoppers but cost more in material and fabrication, especially with waterfall edges and full-height backsplashes that require careful slab matching.
Appliances (10–20%)
Panel-ready, integrated and pro-grade appliances (Sub-Zero, Wolf, Miele, Gaggenau) are a defining luxury choice — and a flexible one. This is often where budgets are tuned without compromising the overall design.
Labor, plumbing, electrical & lighting (20–30%)
Moving plumbing or gas, adding circuits, and installing layered, scene-based lighting (under-cabinet, toe-kick, in-cabinet) all add cost — and all dramatically improve the finished result. In condos, protection of common areas and elevator scheduling add labor time.
What makes a Miami kitchen cost more
- Moving walls or plumbing — open-concept layouts are popular but involve structural and MEP work.
- Condo logistics — building rules, approved hours, and protecting hallways and elevators add time.
- Imported and matched stone — book-matched slabs and waterfall islands require more material and skilled fabrication.
- Impact windows & code upgrades — South Florida code can pull adjacent work into scope.
How to get the most for your budget
The biggest cost killer isn't a finish — it's change orders and rework from a plan that wasn't fully resolved before demolition. A complete design, accurate selections and a realistic budget agreed up front are what keep a luxury kitchen on time and on budget. That's the entire premise of a design-build approach: one team owns the design, the pricing and the build, so nothing falls through the cracks.
